Just over 7 years ago, I was tasked with creating, designing, and developing a new travel brand, focusing on a more exclusive, luxury-seeking audience. According to Trustpilot, now Inca Expert is one of the highest-rated travel agencies in the world. Currently, it is a company with annual revenues of $7M+, over 50 employees, serving 1000+ passengers per year, and with offices in Peru and the USA.
Creating a website is always the first step, and experimentation and continuous improvement are key to building not just websites but digital brands that stand the test of time.
From the outset, reviewing metrics and conducting A/B tests have been essential to create a beautiful, efficient site with high conversion rates. This approach has allowed us to enhance the performance of CTAs, improve form conversion, optimize mobile versions, change the structure of our pages, and simplify many elements of our websites.
Under my supervision we consistently embarked on additional projects that contributed to various aspects of our agency's operations. One project involved the collaboration with other areas such as the Sales Intelligence team for design the "Biblio" system, an internal hotel search system.
This system enables us to gather pertinent information about the numerous hotels we collaborate with, serving as a valuable reference for our sales team. It ensures that our sales people have all the necessary information readily available to facilitate customer consultations.
I oversee the newsletters, a crucial communication channel with a database of approximately 10,000 individuals.
We implement A/B testing here as well to enhance our engagement performance. This effort has led to a x2 increase in conversions through this medium in less than a year.
